The Sixth Meeting of the National Carbon Pricing Specialized Working Group, which was established under the Climate Change Adaptation and Coordination Board within the framework of the Green Deal Action Plan, was convened in Ankara.
Held at the İlbank Social Facilities under the chairmanship of Deputy Director of Climate Change Orhan Solak, the meeting reviewed key national and international developments in the field of carbon pricing.
Participants received detailed briefings on ongoing and planned activities carried out under the PMI Project, the core provisions of the draft Emissions Trading System Regulation, allocation methodologies based on benchmarking, current trends in carbon markets, the Türkiye Carbon Offset System, the outcomes of COP29, and the High-Level Climate Dialogue with the European Union, followed by comprehensive stakeholder consultations.
