COP31 President and Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum has attended the “Clean Air Coalition High-Level Reception,” hosted by King Charles III in London.
The Clean Air Coalition High-Level Reception was held at St. James's Palace on the third day of events organized as part of London Climate Action Week, under the auspices of King Charles III. Minister Kurum represented Türkiye and the COP31 Presidency at the high-profile gathering. Alongside COP31 President-Designate Kurum, UK Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero Ed Miliband, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Mottley each delivered addresses at the reception. In his speech, Minister Kurum highlighted Türkiye's COP31 targets and key pillars of its Action Agenda, while extending an invitation to the participants to attend the upcoming COP31 Summit in Antalya.
Minister Kurum also met with King Charles III during the reception. Sharing an update regarding the reception on his social media account, Minister Kurum stated, “We attended the Clean Air Coalition High-Level Reception hosted by His Majesty King Charles III, where we shared our COP31 Presidency’s roadmap for combating the climate crisis.”
Director of Climate Change Prof. Halil Hasar was also in attendance at the reception held at St. James's Palace under the auspices of King Charles III.
