The Climate Finance Working Group convened its second meeting in Ankara.

Members gathered at the İlbank Social Facilities to examine priority provisions of the draft Regulation on the Green Taxonomy of Türkiye.

Prepared by the Directorate of Climate Change, the draft regulation has been opened for consultation in order to collect feedback and considerations from relevant organizations and agencies.
Chaired by Deputy Director of Climate Change Mehrali Ecer, the meeting reviewed the feedback received on the draft Regulation on the Green Taxonomy of Türkiye, with particular emphasis on clarifying issues related to its scope, taxonomy reporting requirements, and verification procedures.

During the session, discussion topics were addressed by working group members and potential areas of ambiguity among organizations and agencies were resolved.

Members of the Climate Finance Working Group were also briefed on the climate finance decisions adopted at COP29, which was held in Azerbaijan.
