Murat Kurum


Murat KURUM was born in 1976 in Ankara. After graduating from Ankara Mimar Kemal High School in 1999, he graduated from Selçuk University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Civil Engineering. He completed his master's degree in Urban Transformation in 2017.

Between 1999 and 2005, he worked in various private sector organizations operating in the field of construction.

He worked as an expert at TOKİ Ankara Implementation Department between 2005-2006.

Between 2006-2009, he worked as the European Side Implementation Branch Manager of TOKİ Istanbul Implementation Department.

Between 2009 and 2018 T.C. Emlak Konut GYO A.Ş., a subsidiary of the Prime Ministry Mass Housing Administration. He served as General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors.

Murat KURUM, the first Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change in the new cabinet, is married and has three children.
