The seventh regional training session organized by the Directorate of Climate Change was held in Diyarbakır.

The "Enhancing Adaptation Action in Türkiye Project," co-financed by Türkiye and the European Union, held a training session in Diyarbakır on "Climate Change Adaptation and Sectoral Climate Change Impacts."

The two-day training session, which included participation from neighboring provinces in the region, was attended by representatives from relevant governmental organizations and universities.
The training session, which covered topics such as "vulnerability and risk analysis," "sectoral impacts of climate change," and "strategies and action plans," raised awareness among local stakeholders regarding the public health, agriculture, food security, and energy sectors.

Under the "Enhancing Adaptation Action in Türkiye Project," the initiative aims to increase social resilience by strengthening climate change adaptation at the sectoral and urban scales, bolster decision-support tools for climate-resilient sustainable development, and facilitate the development of local climate change adaptation plans. Furthermore, the project focuses on strengthening capacity for climate change adaptation actions and increasing implementation capabilities through the climate change adaptation grant program.
