The Directorate of Climate Change continues to organize training activities aimed at raising public awareness and strengthening societal knowledge on climate change.
As part of its outreach to university students, the Directorate of Climate Change delivered a training session at Ankara Science University titled “International Approaches to Climate Change and Türkiye’s Roadmap.”
The session was attended by Dr. Veysel Selimoğlu, Head of the Technology and Green Transition Department at the Directorate of Climate Change.
Dr. Selimoğlu provided students with an overview of climate change and its impacts, the Sustainable Development Goals, Türkiye’s progress under the SDGs, and the country’s first Climate Law.
During the event, Türkiye’s climate change policies, national targets, and ongoing projects were discussed in detail.
The session contributed to increasing students’ awareness of climate action at both international and national levels, while also allowing for an interactive exchange through questions from participants.
