The kick-off meeting for the Project on “Strengthening the National Climate Finance Capacity” was hosted by the Directorate of Climate Change.
The project was officially launched with a meeting attended by the Directorate of Climate Change, the Delegation of the European Union, the General Directorate of EU and Foreign Relations, and partners of the Contractor Consortium. In his opening remarks, Mehrali Ecer, Deputy Director of Climate Change, highlighted the ongoing preparations for COP31, which will be hosted by Türkiye. He emphasized that the project’s outputs will significantly contribute to Türkiye throughout this process.
Subsequently, the Contractor Consortium delivered a presentation outlining the roadmap to be followed during the project’s implementation phase. The two-year project aims to develop institutional capacity in the field of climate finance. Its objectives include ensuring more effective access to national and international climate finance, as well as raising awareness regarding the management and mobilization of financial resources.
