Serving as preparatory meetings for the COP30 to be held under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the 62nd Sessions of the Subsidiary Bodies have kicked off.
The Climate Change Conference, held in Bonn, Germany, will address key agenda items, notably climate finance and international carbon market processes.
Ahead of the 30th Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC (COP30), the sessions—at which recent steps taken in the fight against the climate crisis will also be reviewed—was attended by Deputy Director of Climate Change Mehrali Ecer, accompanied by a delegation.
Under the coordination of the Directorate of Climate Change, the delegation, composed of representatives of relevant institutions, conducted technical negotiations on various tracks regarding the decisions to be taken as part of the COP30 process.
At the conference, it was stressed out that Türkiye will continue to contribute to COP30 preparations and to efforts aimed at strengthening global cooperation and inclusive multilateralism in climate action.
