Director of Climate Change Prof. Halil Hasar met with members of the MÜSİAD Energy Sector Board.

The meeting, held at the Directorate of Climate Change, focused on the newly enacted Climate Law, MÜSİAD’s ongoing work, and developments across the energy sector.

Meeting with MÜSİAD Energy Sector Board Chair Bülent Şen and the accompanying delegation, Prof. Hasar provided an overview of the Climate Law, which serves as the legal backbone of Türkiye’s climate action framework.

He also outlined how key mechanisms—including the Emissions Trading System, Türkiye’s Green Taxonomy, and Local Climate Change Action Plans—will operate in practice, while underlining the central role of the energy sector in this transition.

Mr. Şen thanked Prof. Hasar for the meeting and briefed him on MÜSİAD’s current activities.
