Director of Climate Change Prof. Halil Hasar held a series of bilateral meetings in Germany during the Bonn Climate Change Conference.

Serving as the COP31 Chief Climate Diplomacy Officer alongside his role as Director of Climate Change, Hasar co-chaired the Environmental Integrity Group (EIG) Technical Consultation Meeting alongside Dr. Sally Box, Australia’s Chief Climate Negotiator.

The meeting focused on driving forward initiatives to accelerate future climate action, foster consensus, and deliver concrete outcomes.
Both parties underscored the vital role of strategic cooperation and shared solutions in achieving global climate targets.
