Director of Climate Change Prof. Halil Hasar attended the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

This year’s three-day forum, an annual fixture in Antalya, carries added significance as Türkiye prepares to host the upcoming COP31 Summit. Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and COP31 President-Designate Murat Kurum participated in several panel discussions where he shared updates on the progress of COP31 preparations, and emphasized a COP vision that prioritizes the specific expectations and needs of all nations. Director Hasar noted that COP31 featured prominently on the forum's agenda due to Türkiye’s role as host, adding that the congratulations received from various countries have bolstered confidence in the process.

While accompanying COP31 President-Designate Kurum during high-level diplomatic meetings, Director Hasar also visited the designated COP venue to oversee the ongoing technical preparations and on-site arrangements.
