A delegation from the Directorate of Climate Change held meetings in Vienna with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Montreal Protocol Unit and the Austrian Ministry of Energy.

The delegation also conducted site visits in Austria to exchange information on projects implemented in Türkiye in cooperation with UNIDO and to meet with UNIDO senior management regarding potential future collaborations.

Under the Montreal Protocol, to which Türkiye became a party in 1991, the Directorate of Climate Change has undertaken pioneering work on the international stage, and carried out various assessments to increase the impact level of these efforts, enhance technical capacity, and observe international best practices on site.

Following meetings with UNIDO senior management, the delegation also met with the Austrian Ministry of Energy.

The delegation was headed by Deputy Director of Climate Change Mehrali Ecer and included Head of Monitoring of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Department Volkan Polat.
