The Emission Trading System (ETS) and its pilot implementation phase, conducted by the Directorate of Climate Change, are nearing completion.

A meeting chaired by Prof. Halil Hasar, Director of Climate Change, evaluated the current progress of the ETS and its pilot application.

Final adjustments were made to the draft study, which has been meticulously developed over an extended period.

Following the anticipated enactment of the Climate Law, a forthcoming regulation will define the scope of the ETS, allocation rules, and key implementation dates.

The meeting, held at the Directorate’s headquarters, was attended by Deputy Directors Mehrali Ecer and Orhan Solak, as well as relevant department heads, unit coordinators, and climate change experts.
