Director of Climate Change Prof. Halil Hasar welcomed primary school students who had attended training programs at the Directorate of Climate Change aimed at building climate awareness.
Providing the students with information on the Directorate’s activities and underlining the importance of climate crises, Director Hasar stressed that the younger generation’s sensitivity to climate issues is critically important for both the nation and the world.

Within the framework of the “Our Shared Home: Our World” project organized by the Directorate of Climate Change, climate change specialists delivered a training session explaining the climate crisis and its profound impacts on the planet.

The training, which took place at the Directorate’s headquarters, addressed topics such as “What is climate change?”, “How does climate change affect our world?”, “What can we do to protect our planet?”, and “The importance of water resources.”

Educational videos highlighting the impacts of climate change on Türkiye and the world were also screened during the session. At the end of the training, students’ questions about climate change were answered.

The program, designed specifically for primary school students by the Directorate of Climate Change, aims to raise climate awareness among children.

Expressing his satisfaction with the students’ strong interest, Director Hasar posed for a commemorative photo with them.
