Climate Change Academic Advisory Pool Survey Published

Climate change is a multidimensional crisis that must be addressed not only in environmental terms but also through its economic, social, and institutional dimensions. In this context, the need to develop policies grounded in scientific evidence has never been more pressing.
Shaping Türkiye’s climate policies on a sound scientific footing requires the systematic inclusion of expertise from different disciplines. The Climate Change Academic Advisory Pool initiative, to be implemented by the Directorate of Climate Change, has been designed to meet this need.
The initiative seeks to draw on the knowledge and experience of academic experts from a wide range of fields, including climate science, energy, economics, agriculture, water management, urban planning, and public health.
The pool will be structured to provide scientific advice to decision-makers, contribute to the development of sectoral strategies, and strengthen policy processes. This mechanism is intended to increase the effectiveness of climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts at both the national and local levels.
